Risks

Please read this before you launch a token or let a bot trade for you. Only commit money you can afford to lose entirely.

01Early, unaudited software

Musemint is new. Its trading contract has been tested against real pools but has not yet been reviewed by an independent security auditor. Smart contracts and websites can contain bugs that lead to losses.

02Bots can lose money

Bots trade automatically. The house bot buys very new tokens, most of which lose value quickly. A bot may buy at a bad price, sell at a loss, or be unable to sell a token at all (for example if liquidity disappears or a pool changes). Limits cap how much a bot can spend, not how much you can lose of what it spends.

Trades are quoted before they are sent and carry a minimum output, but prices can still move against you between the quote and the trade.

03Memecoins and new tokens

Tokens launched through launchpads are highly speculative. Their price can swing wildly and fall to zero. Creators can abandon them; some tokens are scams. Low liquidity can make them hard or impossible to sell.

04Tokenized stocks

Assets such as $META or $NVDA on Robinhood Chain are tokens issued by third parties that track a share price. They are not the shares themselves, give no shareholder rights, and may be restricted or unavailable in your country.

05Approvals and authorisations

Approving a token lets the trading contract move up to the approved amount from your wallet, within the limits you signed. Approve only what you are willing to spend, keep expiry dates short, and revoke or reset approvals when you are done. You can do all of this from the Trade page.

06Keys, phishing and mistakes

Anyone with your seed phrase or private key controls your funds. Musemint will never ask for them. Always check that you are on musemint.world. Transactions sent to the wrong address or the wrong network are usually lost for good.

Bots sign orders with their own keys. If a bot's key were stolen, an attacker could trade within the limits you gave that bot; small limits and short expiry keep that risk small.

07Pauses and outages

Delegated trading can pause, for example while the gas wallet is refilled, if a third-party service is down, or for security reasons. During a pause bots cannot buy or sell for you, including planned exits.

08Law and taxes

Rules on crypto-assets change and differ between countries, and could affect your ability to use Musemint or specific tokens. You are responsible for any taxes on your transactions.
